“Invitation”. For a Centenary – Luciano Berio Festival 2025

As part of the Festival Luciano Berio 2025 and the celebrations for the centenary of Luciano Berio, a workshop on Sequenza I for solo flute will be held on 24 May by Mario Caroli, one of the most acclaimed interpreters of 20th- and 21st-century music.

The workshop is open to both active participants and auditors, with no age limit, and is intended for those who wish to refine their performance practice of this piece.

A maximum of 5 active participants will be admitted.

All interested applicants are invited to complete the attached form and send it, along with an updated Curriculum Vitae (max 2 pages in PDF format), to festival@lucianoberio.org by 24 April 2025.

Participants will be selected by a committee composed of the instructor and members of the Luciano Berio Study Centre. The results of the selection process will be communicated via email by 30 April 2025.

Participation in the masterclass is free of charge.

Active participants will be responsible for their travel and meals; accommodation will be provided by the Centro Studi Luciano Berio for the entire duration of the Festival, with lodging at the Radicondoli Guesthouse.

Auditors will be responsible for all expenses (meals, accommodation, and travel).
