“Invitation”. For a Centenary – Luciano Berio Festival 2025

As part of the Luciano Berio Festival 2025 and the celebrations for Luciano Berio’s centenary, a workshop on Sequenza V for solo trombone will take place on 24 May, led by Christian Lindberg — long-time collaborator and interpreter of Berio’s work, and dedicatee of his trombone concerto (Solo, 1999).

The workshop is open to both active participants and auditors, with no age limit, and is intended for those wishing to refine their performance of this piece.

A maximum of 5 active participants will be admitted.

All interested candidates are invited to fill out the attached form and send it, along with an updated Curriculum Vitae (max 2 pages in PDF format), to festival@lucianoberio.org by 24 April 2025.

Participants will be selected by a committee composed of the instructor and members of the Luciano Berio Study Centre. Selection results will be communicated via email by 30 April 2025.

There is no registration fee for the masterclass.

Active participants will be responsible for travel and meal expenses; accommodation will be provided by the Centro Studi Luciano Berio for the entire duration of the Festival, with lodging at the Radicondoli Guesthouse.

Auditors will be responsible for all expenses (meals, accommodation, and travel).
