Many concerts with Luciano Berio’s music are scheduled between the end of October and the beginning of December 2011. Following is a selection of the most outstanding. On October 28, in Munich, David Robertson conducts the Sinfonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks with the Synergy Vocals in Sinfonia. The Mahler Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Theodor Currentzis, will perform Folk Songs in their forthcoming tournée in Germany and Poland. The concerts, featuring mezzo-soprano Malena Ernman, will take place in Berlin (November 5, Radialsystem), Poznan (November 7, Aula Universytechka), Warsaw (November 8, Filharmonia Naradowa) and Krakau (November 9, Filharmonia Krakowska). On December 1st, the Amsterdam Muziekgebouw will host the Ensemble Modern conducted by Hartmut Keil in a concert devoted entirely to Luciano Berio’s music: Différences, Folk Songs, Sequenza III (Jenny Carlstedt), Sequenza V (Uwe Dierksen), Sequenza X (Valentin Garvie), and Sequenza XIV (Michael M. Kasper).
