Elbphilharmonie Hamburg: Chemins IV featuring Asya Fateyeva and Ensemble Resonanz
On March 4 and 5, 2025, saxophonist Asya Fateyeva and the Ensemble Resonanz will explore creative modes of transformation through works by Franz Schubert, Johann Sebastian Bach, Luciano Berio, and others.
The saxophone, a bold pioneer in the classical repertoire, pushes the boundaries of the familiar, inviting the audience to an evening full of unexpected twists, transformations, and fresh interpretations. Franz Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata, presented in a double arrangement by Luciano Berio, provides insight into the composer’s own creative process, just as the collectively developed versions from the Kronos Quartet’s 50 for the Future collection do.
Only one piece remains untouched: Bach’s Air, where the original itself can once again be considered new.
