This workshop is aimed at experienced choir conductors with a strong interest in\u00a0<strong>20th-century choral music<\/strong>. The repertoire includes both published and unpublished works by Berio, as well as pieces by composers who were close to him on a\u00a0<strong>biographical, musical, or intellectual level<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work on the selected pieces will not be limited to&nbsp;<strong>rehearsal and interpretation<\/strong>&nbsp;but will also be supported by a&nbsp;<strong>historical and musicological<\/strong>&nbsp;in-depth analysis, conceived as an essential element of performance preparation. Participants will engage in two main activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Seminar sessions (online):<\/strong>\u00a0in-depth exploration of the selected pieces, led by different teams composed of ITER Research Ensemble members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rehearsal sessions (in person):<\/strong>\u00a0the group will meet to work as a\u00a0<strong>laboratory choir<\/strong>, focusing on interpretation and ensemble work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop will include two public events:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An\u00a0<strong>open rehearsal with a final performance in Milan on September 14<\/strong>, organized by\u00a0<strong>Cori Lombardia APS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>concluding concert in Radicondoli (SI)<\/strong>\u2014one of Berio\u2019s favorite places\u2014to celebrate\u00a0<strong>100 years since his birth<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application deadline: April 1, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information about the project, click <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iterensemble.com\/progetti\/workshop-berio-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Photo \u00a9 Gisela Bauknecht<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the\u00a0Luciano Berio Festival 2025\u00a0\u201cInvito\u201d: per un centenario (1925-2025), ITER Research Ensemble and the\u00a0Centro Studi Luciano Berio\u00a0have designed a\u00a0workshop on choral conducting and research\u00a0dedicated to Berio\u2019s choral works.
