The concert calendar between April and June 2012 is rich of interesting events. Following is a short selection. From 21 to 28 April the Ensemble Intercontemporain, directed by Alain Altinoglu, will perform Folk Songs with mezzo-soprano Nora Gubisch in their tournée in Spain and France. The tour will touch the towns of Madrid (April 21), Lyon (April 23), Paris (April 25) and Bordeaux (April 28). On April 28, at the University of Salford, Manchester, Marco Visconti-Prasca will conduct the University of Salford Sinfonietta in Laborintus II, with Federico Sanguineti as speaker.
Jeffrey Milarsky will perform Recital for Cathy with the mezzo-soprano Kiera Duffy. The concert is due on May 8 in the frame of Green Umbrella concert season of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
In Hamburg, on May 31, Geoffrey Paterson will conduct Tempi concertati and Rendering with the Hamburger Symphoniker.
One of the most outstanding events of spring 2012 is the performance of Ofanìm at the Cité de la Musique, Paris, in the frame of Ircam’s ManiFeste Festival 2012: it is scheduled on June 9, with the Ensemble Intercontemporain conducted by Susanna Mälkki with the children choir of the Maîtrise de Radio France directed by Sofi Jeannin, the Israeli singer Esti Kenan Ofri, live electronics by Francesco Giomi and Damiano Meacci (Centro Tempo Reale, Florence).
